October 2010 General MeetingPlymouth Plantation, Plymouth, MA
A regular YCCC meeting was held Saturday October 2, 2010 from Noon - 4PM
For all those southeastern territory YCCCers, this one is for YOU! Of course, every member (and perspective new members) is expected too!
Interesting topic this year - will have a well known DX operator speak about contesting from Europe - you know, our favorite direction?! The YCCC and the CW Ops organization happen to be meeting the same day at the same QTH - their deal is a dinner, our deal is the general meeting from 1 PM til dinner time. I thought this might be an opportune time to meet many CW ops from around the world that are attending their dinner. So they are all welcome to attend our meeting as well.
The focus on this meeting as a whole will be our CQ WW participation and maximizing your score, no matter what you have for a station.
Therefore, the plan is to have a program that motivates each and everyone to get on the air for CQ WW (both modes) to reclaim our rightful place at the top of the Unlimited Club category. With over 300 members (approx) now on board and growing, just by these numbers alone, we could easily win 2010 but I realize this is not possible so for those that do take the time to sit in the chair, do so with an added energy and maximize the score for the time you sit. Pick the most productive times for your station and hit it hard.
We are now putting together an interesting and FUN plan to execute to win the 2010 CQ WW competition.
